Thanks for your input and thoughts, guys :3 I wasn't majorly worried about it as much as wondering where everyone was at/if it was something people were thinking about. Since I've been back, I've definitely noticed a huge difference in the auctions, but you're right, the sales/bred petz section hasn't really changed much at all and it isn't hard to rack up the bones/newbies should be fine in that regard. EDIT ~ I think part of what caused me to post this, too, is that at some point putting petz up for sale when 5 bones isn't a lot makes it seems that the exchange of bones in the sales section will loose its purpose eventually (what is 5-10 bones, really?) where the auctions seems somewhat hyper-inflated. Right now, I think people are really excited to post adoptions because the bones system is so new/WW is still a newer forum within the community and I'm hoping that once everyone has enough bones that get them where they need to be, that it won't become a deterrent for adoptions/finding ways to gain bones, etc. Like, right now everything is working amazingly. I'm just thinking, I guess. I see what you mean by the sales thing. But at the same time, I think it will always be around just like at RKC. Everything is free there but people still adopt out petz. Plus people do huge breeding sprees and would like a way to get rid of tons of leftovers, so sales helps with then. Then you can auction off what you deem the best ones you got. So if you can sell a lot of cheap petz, it may add up to one bigger one

Even though inflation is not that big of deal, I still think it would be nice to have some more money sinks on whiskerwick. Things like the forum title, where the money simply disappears instead of it going to a person, might help steady the economy some. As for what these could be though, I'm not sure.

I think this is a cool idea, kind of like a perk system. I like the custom titles, because you pay once and get something that's just kind of fun. I'm also not sure what else could be done though I'm not sure what Proboards offers.

I agree, this could be cool. :3 Maybe even contests with costs to enter them, raffle, paying to get your pet as a part of the layout, idk. Adding too many more things like that could create a lot of work for the mods, though, potentially.

I agree a money sink wouldn't hurt, if only to give people something to do, haha. Maybe a raffle or lottery where you have to buy tickets? Proboards doesn't offer a lot of options, so we'll have to be creative if we want to come up with something.

Auction style but the money can be put in the proverbial money pit instead of my bank account.

The thing about money sinks is like, how do you really price it to make it effective? Like for the rich people it'll still be chump change, unless the cost is super high, in which case the newbies or poorer members are still gonna feel like "welp I can never afford that"

You could always make some sort of money sink that's based on what each user has? Like "to enter this raffle/game/whatever you must pay 5% of your total wealth"
Although the issue with something like that would be people being dishonest... though I think the PC is pretty good about that, considering the entire concept of adoptions runs on the honour system that the breeder won't keep a copy for themselves, haha...
