This might be a silly comment/concern but do you think inflation at WW will become an issue? Like either bones won't be worth anything or that it will take crazy high prices to get hexies/downloadable-like content (playscenes etc) and that it will deter newer users? Since you get more and more money and there isn't really a way to "loose" said money/go into anything other than buying more stuff.
Are newer users feeling comfortable with the prices right now? (obviously just a question for newbies to answer)
I love it here and the bones system, just food for thought/considerations if maybe it would be possible for something to be tweaked to prevent this. This would be true for other places like PUGS and when Petz Auctions was around I'd imagine, too, though. Plus, the petz community is friendly enough where if people really wanted something I think many users would be willing to cut them a break in the wanted board, etc, for instance, if they didn't have much bones because they were starting out or were a hexer, etc. But I wanted to post this anyways to hear what people are thinking?

I was thinking about this when Whiskerwick started. However, as time went on I haven't seen a change in the sales section. Only on the auction board. I don't really think this is an issue. When I was new, mistlepinto (tagging you because I don't want to talk about someone behind their back, it's just an example but still) for example had way more bones then I because she joined before I did. We were both bidding on this bred Dane (even though pinto doesn't remember this, haha), named Pickles. I realised I was never going to win so I stopped bidding and sniper bid in the end. Little tricks like that can get you to win auctions anyway. Over time the interest adds up and you will get more money too. Also, let's just say hyperinflation occurs. New members could breed some nice looking bred petz and put them up for auction. Heck, anyone can do this! All it takes is two determined oldies and your auction skyrockets, leaving you with plenty money as well.

The thought of going to the auction house scares me. XD
I've only got ~400 bones in the bank right now, so I don't have the means to get into a competitive bidding war. Then again, I'm also not big on collecting petz right now, so I don't think it would be as much of an issue for me. Still, seeing some of the auctions jump straight away to 1k+ does make me shy away from that section a bit.

I am having a hard time with any bones system just because it isn't available on mobile, and that's where I post from 90% of the time, but besides that it seems to be perfect:)

Dew, just switch to desktop mode, that always worked for me. People just need to start putting out more so the wealth can spread some, it's not so bad if people use the bank and put out quality items.

I was thinking about this when Whiskerwick started. However, as time went on I haven't seen a change in the sales section. Only on the auction board. This is exactly what I was going to say. Auctions still seem to start low but get so much higher, while sales look the same. This makes sense to me, as it's like at RKC where people put up tons of petz for free for adoption and normally each person only takes a few. So it makes sense they are cheaper I am having a hard time with any bones system just because it isn't available on mobile, and that's where I post from 90% of the time, but besides that it seems to be perfect:) This is what I do as well. As Heeomchida said though I guess desktop works? The only problem I have is I still don't gain interest all the time. All in all, if I am remembering correctly, for this to be true inflation, everything would go up. So like in the US economy, if there was a sudden inflation, a dollar would buy less and therefore everything would cost more. But wages would also rise to keep up with it. So since interest and sales and earnings on game board posts are the same and it's mostly auctions that are different, I think that's mostly where everything is changing

Like others said, it looks like inflation might affect auctions, but not sales and such. When you get super rich you don't care what you earn anymore so you can sell super cheap, but when multiple rich people bid on the same auction it'll easily go super high.
I don't think it will be a huge issue for newbies. Sales will still be very accessible, auctions will require a bit of luck to win. Who knows, a newbie might get lucky auctioning off a pet, so it works both ways! Either way, if you're consistently active for a while and use the bank, it's not hard to get rich, so I don't forsee much trouble.
PUGS is mostly sales, and most petz are going for very cheap there right now. Petz Auctions was all auctions and everything got more expensive. So yeah, I can see us having a bit of both in the different sections.

I think the prices are pretty reasonable on here. Auctions are obviously higher, but that's always going to be the case with that sort of thing and you can't do much to stop it. The set prices, though, are great. I haven't spent much time looking, but it seems to be about a 5 bones average for a bred pet? Which is super easy to achieve.
It's also easy for newbies to earn bones too. You can just breed a few nice petz and sell them, then bam you have enough to buy something you like. Or, if you can hex, put a hexie or two up in the auction house. That's what I did and I've got ~8000 bones in the bank now.

Thanks for your input and thoughts, guys :3
I wasn't majorly worried about it as much as wondering where everyone was at/if it was something people were thinking about. Since I've been back, I've definitely noticed a huge difference in the auctions, but you're right, the sales/bred petz section hasn't really changed much at all and it isn't hard to rack up the bones/newbies should be fine in that regard.
EDIT ~
I think part of what caused me to post this, too, is that at some point putting petz up for sale when 5 bones isn't a lot makes it seems that the exchange of bones in the sales section will loose its purpose eventually (what is 5-10 bones, really?) where the auctions seems somewhat hyper-inflated. Right now, I think people are really excited to post adoptions because the bones system is so new/WW is still a newer forum within the community and I'm hoping that once everyone has enough bones that get them where they need to be, that it won't become a deterrent for adoptions/finding ways to gain bones, etc. Like, right now everything is working amazingly. I'm just thinking, I guess.
