Introducing: Breed Weeks & WW Official Calendar

Hey everyone! Your friendly neighborhood mods, mistlepinto & I, would like to introduce two new features to Whiskerwick!

First off are Breed Weeks (as first pitched by Amanda some time ago). The perfect occasion to celebrate old favorites or give an unpopular breed some extra love! Every year will see four breed weeks between March and September - when things are relatively quiet between Valentine's and Halloween. The first will be Alley Cat Week, coming up in early August.

We'll be counting on community participation to really make the most of these breed weeks, so please consider them the perfect excuse to do anything centered around the breed of the week, including but not limited to:

- Show off threads for your favorite, oldest, newest, etc. pet of the breed of the week
- Breed-specific pose shows and/or other contests
- Hex something off of the breed of the week, or create a toy/clothing item tailored to its needs
- Post litters & other adoptions
- Whatever you can think of! Surprise your fellow forum members with your creativity!

So... how will you know when exactly these breed weeks are going to be? That's where our second new feature comes in: the Official Whiskerwick Calendar. This is a designated thread listing all the yearly events/holidays. You can check it out here!

The calendar will be stickied in the Information Center so it'll always be easy to find. Make sure to have a look every now and then to see what's coming up!
