I currently have a whopping 177 bones in the bank(/brag!) and the bank has been telling me I've been getting 2 bones Interest since around 100 bones(I think), but sometimes it gives 2 and sometimes it gives 1(while always telling me it's giving 2). I was just wondering if it's actually giving me 1.5 bones of interest each time and just rounding up to 2 in the readout, which would mean every odd payment would give me 1 bone and the even payments would give me 2.
I did see there was another question about interest, but this didn't really seem to fit there.
I should've checked before depositing again to see whether I actually got 2 bones on the 21st, but I didn't, so this isn't much help, but my bank records are here:
Note: The interest added today says 2 bones, but my balance only went up by 1 bone.
It doesn't really matter, I'm sure, but I was curious about why it was happening and thought the 1.5 bones thing seemed like a likely cause.

There's no such thing as .5 bones... on our side of things, anyways. The math behind the bank probably calculates the percentage and then rounds it up/down to the nearest bone. That wouldn't explain why it's sometimes 1, sometimes 2, though, it should round a .5 the same way every time.
Which balance are you referring to? It's worth noting that the balance listed by your transactions is entirely out of whack (more and more so as you get richer), the one at the top in big letters is correct.

Apologies for the slow reply, I'm so close to 200 bones, I didn't want to post and risk changing my interest rate before I could collect interest again as when I get to 200 bones, my interest should be 2 bones anyway. Which balance are you referring to? It's worth noting that the balance listed by your transactions is entirely out of whack (more and more so as you get richer), the one at the top in big letters is correct. Both balances are the same for me and accurate. There's no such thing as .5 bones... on our side of things, anyways. The math behind the bank probably calculates the percentage and then rounds it up/down to the nearest bone. That wouldn't explain why it's sometimes 1, sometimes 2, though, it should round a .5 the same way every time. Today's interest was indeed 2 bones(and the balance is accurate, it actually gave me 2): My memory isn't amazing, but I'm fairly sure it's been alternating between 1 and 2 bones ever since I've had 100+ in there(although it's been saying it would give 2 bones each time), it's curious too because at a 1% rate, I should only be getting 1 bone anyway(unless it's adding .5 of a bone, which don't exist). I'm not complaining or anything, just found it interesting and wondered what was happening. <3 Edit: Aww this post took me to 204 bones, so I can't test it further as my interest should be 2 at this point anyway.

At 1%, you could still get 2 bones since 1% of (for example) 160 bones is 1.6 bones and that should get rounded up to 2. So it's not that strange to get 2 bones, or to go from 1 to 2 bones around the 150 bone mark, but I don't get why it would alternate! You might still be able to test further, see when it goes from 2 to 3 bones! If it's something in the workings of the bank I don't think we'll ever find out what is happening exactly, but I'm still curious.

More because I'm weird and find it fascinating:
2 bones of interest at 216 bones, 3 bones of interest at 243 bones(and it's saying it's giving 3 every time).
I'll take out 5 bones and see if I get 2 or 3 as interest tomorrow with the same amount in there and edit this post to say which. After that I'll stop going on about it, I promise, but it's so interesting!
Editedit:
2 bones!
Moaredit:
And then I broke the bank, herp: Date Type In Out Balance
It now thinks I have three bones less than I have, but it'll let me take out those three bones(and no more) anyway.
