Sometimes when hosting contests it's like "what do I give as bribery that people want"
or "what if they don't like my hexing style?" etc etc.
And I love the idea of the prize box here.
And I'd imagine that as much as the awesome mods here do already they don't wan to host tons of competitions.
Do you think having "get your contest approved" or something for prize box prizes could be a thing?
So essentially, you post, say what it is, and then mods can say "yes, prize box points can be given for this contest, etc" (for 1st/2nd place or something)
I could see how keeping track of prize box points or something could be an issue. Maybe there could be a thread for that, too, in the prize box? So the host of the contest could post who won a point w/ a link to the thread so that the points can be added and mods wouldn't have to check back at the "approved contests."
Just thought it could be neat. And if we really wanted to limit the points, we could make only certain types of contests/restrictions on it.
It might also motivate people to donate to the prize box more? And for people to enter/host contests more. Because I always feel like that's such a hard thing to pull for at a petz forum/website... sometimes people have really cool contest ideas with no participants! (Not super worried about that considering it looks like there are some super full/attended to contests right now, but sometimes the struggle is real.)

Unrelated question; but do mods hold onto the .pet files? Because I could see in the future people waning to claim petz /files from people who are inactive being an issue. (this could be tough with coupons, too, if the user made a coupon but aren't around to hex it or are busy when it is claimed) But holding onto the files could be a lot of work for the mods, too, so those who donated sending the things and just skipping over unactive users when claiming prizes could be okay, too.
