Update #5 - Individual play sessions (Part 1)
I decided to play with the pups individually before having a group playdate, to try to get a sense of their individual personalities. These are the first 5 pups. The next 5 pups will be in the following update.
I did also peep at their GoalDescriptor. However, if you'd prefer to adopt "blindly," I've spoiler'd all of those for you.
Witzy mouse Penny @ Just Dandy Lyric of Lemonade kathleen Megan@Xoops 🌼 shaina @ kizmet Thor JT BopFirst up, I brought Bop out into the yard.
He is a posey little fella.
I threw the frisbee for him, and he immediately splatted on the ground. Silly little pup.
He showed some hesitation toward the tennis ball.
But eventually got up the courage to play with it!
He did not understand how tug of war works. Each time we tried, he only wanted to hang from it. I guess that's fun too.
Soooo posey! He goes into the pose sequence every other time I click the camera, I swear!
Here's his personality:
Kip
Kip came out next. He was very stubborn at first. I kept double-clicking to try to get him to come to the cursor, but he would just sit and stare at me.
He did throw a pose though! I guess I shouldn't be surprised: showing is in their blood.
I tried to get him to play tug of war, but he showed absolutely no interest in it, preferring to play with the other toys on his own.
*Not interested x2*
And then when I threw one of the toys that he was showing interest in, he stared at me like this.
Stubborn boy, eh?
Marley
Marley came out next, with the hiccups. Sadly, I didn't manage to catch her camera mid-hiccup.
She immediately showed a lot of affinity for the frisbee.
But she also turned out to be really possessive of her toys.
If I took something away from her, she stared at me like this.
Like Bop, she did not seem to understand the point of the tug of war.
Of the pups so far, she is the best retriever. She seemed always willing to run after a toy that I threw (although she never tried to catch the frisbee mid air). And she would sit patiently and wait for me to throw the toy (as she is demonstrating here).
What a good girl!
Cheba
Cheba came out next, showing her butt to camera. Actually, she was waiting for me at the gate, like she knew it was her turn!
She went straight for the tennis ball. It was a love affair at first sight. She always returned to the tennis ball! Seems to be her favorite toy.
Although she didn't really understand the concept of fetch. When I'd throw it for her, she'd run after it, then nudge it or swat it away. Honestly, it was pretty cute.
Marley came back to the gate at some point. Cheba had to say hi. She was eager to play with her sister. Next time, lovey!
At some point, she picked up the tug of war, and then seemed to forget that it was in her mouth. I wish I had gotten the picture of her posing with it.
She seems the most loyal to her toys
AyeshaAyesha came out of the carrying case hot.
And took to immediately running around the yard.
But then, for some reason, she got really angry at the tug of war.
A grudge she held for several minutes.
And carried over to the tennis ball.
Silly girl. Her anger lifted once she ran around the yard some more.
With her initial burst of energy spent, she turned back to the tug of war for some emotional support and found it wasn't so bad at all.
She was really good about playing on her own too. She would play with different toys in the yard, often batting the tennis ball around. She also seemed to be a decent retriever and would return toys to me when I threw them.
Who are you gravitating toward so far? We'll play with the next 5 pups soon!
