welcome to my petzy book bingo thread! 📖 the book i'm starting out with is s by koji suzuki. i've been working my way through this series for a few months now, and this is the last of the translated novels. i've seen the movie adaptation, but at a glance it looks like it's a lot different from the book, so we'll have to see which one i like better. : - ) EDIT: the book's better. shocker!

#1 - Give a pet a name and show name inspired by your book
Introducing Fractal's Distant Memory, aka Takanori! He's named after the main character of S, Ando Takanori, and his show name comes from the name of the first chapter. I have some grab bags that I neglected to give out, so I decided to take a look through there; lo and behold, there was this little guy, who tbh I was probably tempted to keep but didn't. I kinda wanna naturally raise him and stuff, but ... I'm not in a good headspace to make decisions, if you know what I mean. (A bit tipsy rn. Not much! But a bit.) |

It's about this dude whose boss gives him a flash drive ... whatever that is ... with this video of a guy doing things they won't let me read about because it's 'for adults' or something. But I peeked, and there was a rope and a chair ... And his wife's pregnant and she's really scared of something but we dunno what yet. I don't know how the meat ties in yet, but it looks kinda tasty ..." |

#7 - Read Alongside Your Petz Due to technical stuff, I couldn't get a pic of reading along to S with my little guys - so I'm doing the next best thing, which is Ring, the first book in the series. I never actually finished it, since I had already watched the movie adaptation and was getting impatient lol- but I'm planning on properly reviewing all the books on my personal website, so it's about time I worked on it a bit more.

#10 - Assign SCPs to the main characters Hopefully doing just one of them is okay...! I don't have a specific SCP in mind for Takanori, but Akane is always portrayed as a very nervous person- I haven't found out what it is yet (I'm a slow reader), but she has some trauma from early in her life that can cause her to be skittish and prone to anxiety. So I'd say she has an OSH SCP! :>

#11. Write a review of the book from one of your Petz' perspectives (... i may have binge-read the remaining 3/4ths of the book just now. it's a good book!!) Teddie says ... "S was pawesome! There was a lot of mystery, which I thought was purretty entertaining, even though there was a little too much verbal infodumping and not enough actual gathering of evidence... I like how it brought back furmiliar characters and showed what they were up to after 25 years. Also, some of it was about how impurrtant family is, and how that dude Takanori feels about his fiancee and unborn kid, and I thought that bit was supurr touching. This one is my favfurite of the series!"
