Okay so I know there's a place to sell art, and there's a place to auction petz, but what about a place to hold art auctions? I'd love to host a few to have people bid for an art commission of their pet/character.

Ooh. I'm very interested in something like this because I like to purchase custom art all the time! Especially of my RP characters and my personal pets. Silver, I am not sure if you are talking about auctioning for bones or actual money but I hope that the artists here would consider both options for people like me who like to commission!

I was actually thinking of both. My other question I guess would be, if I opened a regular art shop, would I be able to offer bones and paypal as forms of payment or would it not be allowed?

You may host either type of auction, monetary or bones, but for the sake of fairness I'd ask that they not be lumped into one thread. Two separate art auctions can be hosted under the auction house, one for people willing to pay bones, and the other for people willing to pay cash.

That makes sense, and also helps avoid any attempt to place a monetary value on bones.

May I suggest art auctions don't go in the auction house? Since that's under the adoptions subforum, it could get confusing.
Opening an art shop on main street might be a nicer option, since that is where art services have gone so far. I don't think there's a rule against making more than one shop thread there, so if you want to auction both for bones and irl monies you can keep them seperate like that. Orrrrr we could do a commissions subforum in the museum, but I'm not sure that's really needed.
