History: When I first got Catz 4 going in 2001 my original plan was to have one large family of Catz... Adopt a pet to be a mate for a specific pet, then when they have kittens, adopt another new pet, and so on. Needless to say, that didn't last long after I discovered petz websites. XD Keyglyph's post on RKC about the family tree program reminded me of my Petzy roots, and I decided to go for it! I'm starting off with Catz as it was my first game. I will be posting the Dogz in their own thread as this is going to be image heavy! I decided to minimize how many petz I need to breed (current headcount 800+) I would use as many of my exsisting petz as possible. Soo... On to my project guidelines. - One child per pair in the tree.
- If there are loads of siblings, pick one that's not bred with an OW.
- If there are only pups/kittens of a pair bred with an OW file, use them anyway.
- If parent pet has multiple mates, pick one, and disqualify all children by other mates from breeding for the project.
- Breed Litters of 6 to 10 so you have leftovers to share. (I tend to keep 3 out of 10 lately.)
- Breed in all catz, including Hexies, Wildz, and BLK Shepherds.
- Take notes!!!
All Family tree images generated by GEDKeeper I felt it fitting that my first root pair was Spekles and Oreo (Links to their profiles on StancyMckatt's Petz). My first two petz. And that my Second pick should be from my second pair of catz. Jake and Slatey. (Note that this tree also pulls in Brian, and Galadriel's family.) Next step, breeding a litter from MacCoy and Pumpkin Pie.

Continuing from last time... From MacCoy and Pumpkin Pie's litter, I ended up keeping three. Ireland, Patricia, and LeRoy. I looked for the next biggest family tree, and narrowed it down too.... Ablution! The Male Calico Mix. So that means I need one of the girls . It was a hard decision to make, But I ended up going with Ireland to hopefully have lots of mixed up kitties! Next step, breeding a litter from Ablution and Ireland.
NOTE: Comments, suggestions, and feedback, are welcome!

Time for Round 3! So out of the litter Ireland and... Ablution had I chose Clare Isn't she a nice blend of the two? Here's the updated family tree! I wasn't sure who to pick next. So I sorted the list by petz I've bred, males, and in ABC order. The first unrelated pet to come up was Bill. And here's his family tree.

This handsome boy Is Fastener... isn't he cute? He has a Russian blue Personality for all he has a Maine Coon looking (to me) face. <3
Updated family tree up next.
Introducing Petals! I got this lovely Egyptian Mau Mixie lady from Ratqueen Recently on Pugs along with her sister Peony.

Fastener is absolutely adorable! I love that particular texture with black accents, and the white muzzle and toes totally complete the look. And Petals certainly is a pretty lady! I can’t wait to see what kind of cute babies they have! This is also a really cool project in general; it’ll be so awesome to see what the family tree looks like in a few more generations (it’s already impressive as-is).

Fastener and Petals litter ended up being mostly Meezers somehow! I ended up picking a kitty that wasn't a meezer though. Meet Parker... A natural shorty. After much thought... I ended up pairing him with Debbie from Amanda (Who I got during Dukes Group Fall Festival 2022) She's such a very sweet Chinchi <3 I ended up with a Tiny Surprise.... Meet Notes! My first Natural Tiny! Now to find her a mate! And before I forget.... Family Trees! Parker Debbie and Notes! Fastener is absolutely adorable! First natural tiny! How tremendous! I love that your revisiting this playstyle plan wound up getting you something you’d never had before. What a special way to achieve this!
I also agree that Fastener is quite fetching. Petals too. And speaking of Petals, I really appreciate that you introduce each pet’s origin story as they join the project. It’s a really nice detail that you mention where each pet came from, and it’s neat that so many awesome folks are getting woven into this lineage through the catz you’ve adopted from them!

I hit burn out, ended up playing Pokemon TCG Live for a few weeks, and then Sims 4 for a few days... So only a little update I wanted a Tiny Alley next, so I picked out Dream From YCAP (Yonder Comes a Petz) to breed with Notes. I've had him a long time and haven't bred him until now. I hadn't thought of it that way, thank you for the encouragement <3
