DAY ONE ~ 3/17/2021 ~ AGE 12
For my first foray into naturally raising I decided to adopt a couple of Cirrutopia Great Pyrenees v.5 puppies from the AC. The first puppy I brought home was a male who I named Armani (after the brand, yes).
I noticed he was scratching a lot so I used some flea spray on him, which also made him sick for some reason. I then proceeded to struggle to figure out how to even give him the medicine LOL. Eventually it occurred to me to put it in a food bowl. Considering how often I have to give medicine to my real life pets I should know these things by now!
I then went back to the AC to adopt a friend for him. I named her Chanel to keep with the theme.
I can't really tell if they like each other or not. They don't seem sad when the other goes back into the case and I can never tell if dogz are play fighting or actually fighting. Either way, this is my dastardly duo.
I took them to do some gardening since I needed flowers for some vases. I think they enjoyed being watered more than the flowers did.
Armani decided to take a nap in the flower bed. Chanel however was still full of energy so she played in the garden for a while longer.
After Armani woke up I took them to the closet since I wanted to try out the new collars from Hextraordinary, among other things. They are soooo nice, and suit these two so well.
These pups are an absolute blast, I can't wait to get to know them more.

DAY TWO ~ 3/18/2021 ~ AGE 15
Today I wanted to try some posing. Chanel is very willing to pose and was ready to go right away so I started with her first. It's a bit hard to tell how to align them, maybe because they're puppies or because they're non-OBs, or maybe it's a bit of both. I think she did pretty well though, I really like her profile.
Armani was pretty tired and hungry when I brought him out so I fed him and let him take a nap beforehand.
I realized I couldn't get his weight up with just the food bowl since he stopped eating once he was full, so I had him do a few tricks for treatz to get him to a reasonable weight.
He is definitely the goofball of the pair. It's nothing I haven't dealt with before though, and it didn't take long to get a few poses out of him.
Not bad! Not quite as tight as Chanel but I think they'll both make great show dogz when they're grown.

DAY THREE ~ 3/19/2021 ~ AGE 21
I brought Armani out this morning and he immediately started scowling at me. What's up buddy.....
I tried feeding them both at the same time which didn't go to plan. They just kept picking up their bowls and running around in circles. I had to put one of them away so the other would actually settle down and eat.
I decided today was going to be a goof-around-in-the-closet kind of day. Now THIS is haute couture.
Afterwards I let them pick out a few outfits on their own with the old auto-rolling ball trick. They are so fashionable LOL and Chanel really seems to like those teddy bears. I threw a video of this onto my YT channel here as well.
I'm thinking these collars will have to be a mainstay after all.

DAY FOUR ~ 3/20/2021 ~ AGE 27
These two are getting big. They'll officially be adults tomorrow.
Today I felt like teaching them some tricks, starting off with Armani.
I went over a few tricks with him the other day so he was pretty cooperative. I'm writing down which tricks they do for which treatz so I can train them more consistently from now on.
After a few minutes he was really starting to regret eating so much. I let him take a break before he popped like a balloon and brought Chanel out for her turn.
I ended up going over a lot more with her. I haven't done very much trick training before this so I'm not too familiar with how it works, but it seems like I can't get them to do some tricks like the wall slide. It's possible I just wasn't patient enough though. I'm certain she was getting fed up doing trick after trick with no reward anyway.
A few times I got too close and she managed to snatch the treat without doing a trick. After that she refused to wait for me and kept trying to grab the treat out of my hand or knocked the box out of the case instead. So back in the case she went for a time out >:c
Later I brought Armani back out to try out the hoop. It's so funny to me that they can slap it out of your hand, which he did many.....many times. After he got tired of that he did eventually show me some nice jumps though.
There's still so much left to learn...!

DAY FIVE ~ 3/21/2021 ~ AGE 33
Well, these two immediately started making googly eyes at each other this morning. I'm happy they get along.
This is just too cute....
I was worried about them breeding since I could tell they were thinking about it. I didn't want to keep them apart but I also didn't plan on them having puppies so soon.
Seems like they don't care about my plans one bit though. I guess I'll be welcoming another Pyr into my home...
I didn't do much with them today aside from watching them be sickeningly sweet together, so have some random cute pics in the meantime.
She caught the frisbee! And the treat thief strikes again.........

DAY SEVEN ~ 3/23/2021 ~ AGE 45
Not much to report on these past few days. I did however play a lot of frisbee with Armani today, so here are some pics from that.
Putting his all into it...
And he succeeds!

DAY EIGHT ~ 3/24/2021 ~ AGE 51
A star is born!!!!
She is so tiny....so cute...... I love her.......
I brought dad out to introduce them and in typical Armani fashion he scowled at her a lot. I think he did eventually warm up to her though, he just had to get the grumpiness out of his system first.
This might be THE cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.
I have a hunch these two will just keep popping out puppies nonstop if I don't do something about it. After this I'll probably let myself cheat a bit with PetzA and temporarily spay/neuter any of my naturally raised petz that are in love until I want them to have babies. I'm trying to be a responsible pet owner here LOL.

DAY NINE ~ 3/25/2021 ~ AGE 57
Just a bit of family bonding today.
They cuddle so much......so stinkin' cute.
Armani decided to take a nap with the baby. Chanel looks on in disappointment at her lazy husband.
I figured out that if you click on a newborn's paw they will stand up and do the spooked jump like an adult dog would. It's so funny, but I feel bad for squishing her little paws so much LOL.
Before long he'll be too big to fit in this bed any more. I really want to see him do this dance when he's a fully grown gigantic Pyr.

Since I now have three dogz to raise I figured I would forgo making note of dates and ages and just turn this into a general Pyr family update thread (it was all starting to blur together lol).
Dior is out and about all on her own now. She looks just like Armani save for those mysterious little patches on her back legs.
She's been waddling around ever since she started walking. She's so fat and doesn't seem to lose any weight over time. I played with her quite a bit to see if she would shed a few pounds - no dice, but she did show me that she's apparently a master at catching the frisbee!?? Future frisbee show contender perhaps?
Chanel and Armani still have a week of growing left to do. I don't know if my monitor is big enough to contain them.
I love watching Armani and Dior bond and play together.
I was pretty surprised when Armani suddenly picked her up and started carrying her around. I had no idea petz could pick each other up outside of mother and baby pairs. It was adorable getting to see dad carry the baby around for a change though.
And a bit of fetch with the big guy to close out the day 💛
