i thought it would be fun to document my first breeding project briefly and keep doing little updates as i continue breeding. i really really love reading Amanda's logs and i love seeing where breeding takes her.
this time, tall dachie. i'm not big on shorties, but the dachie face strikes me as super cute lately, i wanted to see if i could get spotty tall dachie using my own lines. after doing some research i learned to choose broad characteristics and then pick and choose from there. the first characteristic i wanted was tall dachie, so dachie face and long legs.
Spot and Oscar
the immediately started fighting when i took them out, thank the lord for PetzA.
here's Gen 2, we got one folks.
i took that tall baby and bred her back with Spot....
peep dat eye color mutation 👀 and that non-spotty dali, heck. that tall dachie looks almost mini, which is ok with me!! bred my tall dachies together and....
slightly mini, with spots and a fuzzy coat.
and some lovely gray eyes, another mutation!
well, maybe not. eyecolor looks gray but apparently they're teal?
and just for fun, some LNZ:
:^) i'm excited to breed some more, i've been scared to try breeding but with such quick success i feel energized. thanks for reading! ♥
Your last one's eyes are what I call a fluke mutation! I think it only happens with eyecolor and eyelid colors, but it is like 1/2 of a full mutation, having a visible mutation while still genetically being/carrying a different color. :)
she has a dachie personality! i had some that were dali but they were significantly taller which was interesting...maybe ill try to breed different personalities of dachies :0 its a weird feeling to destroy all unwanted petz after breeding but i should get used to it haha
since absolutely falling in love with all of amanda's amazing patches for b&ws and calicos, not to mention the GORGEOUS maine coon textures i wanted to try and see what i could come up with starting my own lines...
started with Jester and Joker, calicos
Buckle and Button, b&ws
Cocoa and Cream, maine coons
Beret and Cloche, chinchilla persians (just for fun)
persians were definitely the breed i went with if i wanted to see something crazy...9 times out of 10 they had massive heads and that ain't my thing, y'all
here are some results, again i'm just playing around and documenting what i got. (there are other petz not pictured who are now on TFM, click here to peep)
persians (a variety),
and b&ws (sad child on top right is a maine coon scp but b&w coloring)
but i went back and took Conquest off of TFM because. hes a really beautiful lad. look at those wonderful maine coon ears ;w; i love u Amanda
we back again folks, this time with a special project for a pet i forgot i adopted from RKC. the OW breedfiles ran deep with this angel so no matter how many files i downloaded i couldn't bring her out to play.
i knew i needed lab/dali or golden/dali, and i knew i needed a dane for that pretty blue coat....after about 26 tries i finally got my replacement, with a bonus cute black ear to top it off:
the remainder of these are up on PUGS if anyone is interested! here is a small sampler:
I love your progress so far cookie! Those crosses are too cute omg Were you thinking of Pixel Perfect Kennelz Boxer per chance? Cause that'd be awesome to have a new line of SB boxers floating around 😍 Here is my boy, Webster, from that line who might help to inspire your journey; [ spoilering cause I don't qanna litter your thread with my big pix lol ]
