Update 7/13/17
I keep encountering bugs and corrupt pets. I'm taking another look at the game's loading function in ollydbg. Since I'm more experienced in reversing now, I should be able to bruteforce a P5 pet into P3 (testing w/ P3 because it's not PetzA-modified and mostly the same as P4). Hopefully the game doesn't freak out.

Well, I forced my P5 pet to take all of the conditional jumps in the code that my P4 pet took (I wasn't paying attention to exactly WHAT data was being read, I just wanted to see if it was all a matter of jumps), and it caused the game to crash when it started loading something about the Linez Cache (I think). I've been taking a break from coding this past week or so, because I could feel myself starting to get burned out, but I'm starting to feel more refreshed and ready to tackle this head-on again.
I really hope that I don't come off as full of myself or anything negative like that. This is all a learning experience for me. I really hate letting people down, so I WILL get this done, but I'm not going to promise exactly WHEN. Once again I thank you all so much for being patient and putting up with me being all "I've got it figured out it'll be done soon!!!" and then not having it ready. ;w; I just get excited and then hit some roadblock that hinders progress. I do care about this and I'm determined to keep teaching myself about both reversing and coding, because those are things I've been fascinated with for a long time. Petz is the perfect pet project (no pun intended) for me to explore and learn about this stuff because it's familiar. Even if I get quiet here on WW, chances are I'm still thinking about/actually working on Petz stuff.
I'm sorry if I've been disappointing you guys. You're all so nice and supportive, and as I said above I really hate letting people down, but I feel like that's what I've been doing. I hope you all can understand and forgive me.

Reflet, imagine how hard it must've been to get PetzA up and running, and now it's the go-to, must have mod for Petz. I have no doubts that when you finish this, it'll be 100% as must-have and popular as PetzA, and Rome just wasn't built in a day. We can't expect a huge milestone to come without falling down once in a while. We're so proud of you! <3

Thank you guys so much <3 It really means a lot, seriously. I can be a bit of a perfectionist and sometimes I get hyperfocused on what I'm not doing, which leads to anxiety about it.

Due to multiple setbacks and frustrations, I've temporarily put PetFlux's development on hold and am focusing my energy on creating a C++ class library for pet files. Simply put, this will make it MUCH easier and MUCH more efficient to code applications that are designed to interact with pet files. And then, I can share that library with anyone else who wants to code pet file applications to make their life easier. Yay, object-oriented programming. I may release a beta version of that genetics-viewing tool in the meantime, since that's simply a matter of reading and displaying data. I'll try to get that done, at least, so you guys have something.
