At 1%, you could still get 2 bones since 1% of (for example) 160 bones is 1.6 bones and that should get rounded up to 2. So it's not that strange to get 2 bones, or to go from 1 to 2 bones around the 150 bone mark, but I don't get why it would alternate!
You might still be able to test further, see when it goes from 2 to 3 bones! If it's something in the workings of the bank I don't think we'll ever find out what is happening exactly, but I'm still curious.
